Reading Room Information
In the Reading Room Information section, you will receive the items that you have requested for use in the reading room or which you may only use there (older collections, some books borrowed on inter-library loan, etc.). In addition, you can find help in using the microfiche and roll film reading devices and the reader printer. You can also find major daily newspapers from the current year and, on microfilm, from the past 7 years. The Reading Room Information staff can be contacted by phone on +49 6131 39-24179.
In both the Central Library and the decentralized libraries there are a large number of computer workstations, as well as connection points for your own laptop or notebook.
The reading rooms in the Central Library offer users the opportunity to read and work in an undisturbed setting. The inventory in reading rooms 1 and 2 can be freely accessed and used there. Here you can find general and specialized reference works, encyclopedias, manuals and dictionaries, loose-leaf collections, extensive source collections and journal and course catalogs.
